CLEO Systems - Digital Healthcare

The Brief

CLEO Systems provides digital solutions to transform urgent, emergency, and outpatient services. By collaborating with clinicians, they develop tools that address real challenges in the NHS. Their flexible platform integrates seamlessly with existing systems, ensuring that patients are seen promptly and that clinicians can work more effectively. CLEO Systems is focused on improving the healthcare experience by speeding up processes, reducing delays, and enhancing communication across services.

They asked us to produce two explainer videos to showcase different aspects of their offering. The first video introduced CLEO SOLO EPS, an electronic prescribing solution that simplifies and accelerates the prescribing process. Instead of relying on paper prescriptions, the platform allows clinicians to send prescriptions directly to pharmacies, making the process faster, safer, and more convenient. The second video demonstrated CLEO Systems’ broader capabilities by following a patient’s urgent care journey and showing how clinicians can respond quickly, resolve issues efficiently, and keep patients informed throughout the process.

We took a character-led approach to ensure the benefits of the platform felt real and relatable. Using everyday healthcare situations, our digital healthcare animation highlighted how CLEO Systems helps both clinicians and patients by improving the speed and clarity of care.

Our Response

We created two animated explainer videos centred on characters to show how CLEO Systems’ tools support real-world healthcare scenarios. Each story followed a clear journey to demonstrate how the platform can reduce delays, support decision-making, and improve communication.

The first video introduced CLEO SOLO EPS, focusing specifically on how this tool transforms the prescribing experience. It showed how prescriptions can be managed entirely digitally—sent directly from clinician to pharmacy without any paperwork. This reduces administrative burden, shortens waiting times, and ensures patients receive medication more quickly. The video clearly outlined how CLEO SOLO eps supports clinicians through each step of the prescribing process.

The second video followed a patient through an urgent care scenario. Using CLEO Systems’ wider digital solutions, clinicians were able to assess the issue, take action, and maintain regular updates with the patient—all within a single system. The emphasis here was on visibility and responsiveness, key areas where CLEO Systems helps modernise urgent care. The story underlined how digital tools can eliminate uncertainty for patients and give clinicians more control and clarity.

To support the storytelling, we kept the animation style minimal and focused. The interface was simplified for clarity, using CLEO Systems’ brand palette to maintain strong visual alignment with their identity. This approach kept attention on the interactions, outcomes, and overall benefits.
These videos now play a vital role in CLEO Systems’ communications at conferences and events, helping them demonstrate the impact of their technology in a clear, engaging way.
